I listed some items this morning on etsy.  No wonder I don’t do it very often - what a pain.  Trying to see if I can generate that cash flow thing people talk about.  I admire people that do this full time!

Check out my cameo in this Sixty Minutes Australia piece on Pixar and Toy Story 3.  At 1:41.

Fourth of July!

It’s July 4th here, and I can hear fireworks going off in the distance.  I decided to get a little patriotic in my dress today.  It didn’t last long, because we went for a run and since then I’ve been in sweats..  but for a small moment of time today I was all red, white, and blue.  I did feel a little like a tool going out in public like that, but…

Here are a couple more photos from our trip yesterday.  I was in the backseat for the ride.  When left to my own devices I can be known to take a self-portrait or two.

We came upon some kite surfers, and decided to stop and watch for a little while.  There was crazy wind down there, and there were at least 30 surfers out there.  We wondered how they weren’t getting tangled in each other’s sails.  They were really cool to watch.

Today we went on an adventure.  First, we went to The Wooden Duck in Berkeley to show dad the new bed that I ordered.  The Wooden Duck is this great furniture place that makes amazing things from recycled/salvaged wood.  I’m very excited to get the bed, but it won’t be here until Monday, so I thought I’d take dad over to check it out in the showroom.  Plus, the rest of the furniture is amazing and I knew he’d like it.
Then we went for a little road trip down route 1, to Santa Cruz.  We saw some cool kite surfers on the way down, so pulled over to watch them.  When we got to Santa Cruz, we drove through, and cut over to San Jose.  We stopped in Campbell, just outside San Jose, to try and track down the house my parents used to live in about 35 or more years ago.  We found it after text consultation with mum, because dad couldn’t remember squat.  We tracked down the house, and here it is.  Pretty cool to see where it all began.

In Portland, we went into a store that had a million mini terrariums.  They were awesome, and all the parts were cheap, cheap, cheap!  Well, I didn’t buy anything at that store, but since then, I’ve been really hankering for my own terrarium.  I bought all the parts I needed today, and built my own.  Not necessarily as cheap as the Portland options, but still I got some pretty neat stuff.  I hope the plants don’t die.  I plan on taking it in to work.  I want my new digs to have some greenery in them seeing as I’ll be entering the dark, seedy underbelly of work, also know as the anim department (woo hoo!)  I should name my orb.  Or, maybe name each plant in the orb.
Please don’t die on me little guy.  We need to help each other survive the year!

It’s been a busy week so far.  So many activities to do on vacation!  With dad visiting, we’ve been ultra busy, as he’s not one to sit still inside on a lovely day.  But then again, neither am I.  Rock climbing, Sonoma wine tasting, ride to Golden Gate park…  I’m pooped.  And dad is sacked out in the hammock.  I don’t blame him.

Today was an exceptionally nice day.  The sun has been shining all day, and it’s been nice and warm.  We got pig sandwiches from 4505 meats (delicious), and rode our butts off.  Dad was sacked out on the hammock.  Now he’s sacked out on the bed.  Awesome. 5 minutes of peace and quiet :)

Today Dad and myself went rock climbing at Mission Cliffs. It was awesome, and highly recommended. It was an intense workout and a fun challenge. I want to go again soon!

Thomas Keller’s fried chicken made an appearance at our dinner table last night.  And boy were we glad it did…  Best recipe ever.
